Concrete Pumping Hose Assemblies
Concrete pump hoses are also called concrete pumping rubber hoses, which are designed for high-pressure pumping of ready-mixed concrete at construction sites. They are usually used at the outlet of concrete pumps and can transport wet cement mortar, lime mortar and concrete. Concrete pump hoses are an effective way to transport concrete mixtures, improve work efficiency, save labor, and are especially suitable for the transportation and pouring of large-volume concrete and high-rise building concrete.
Introduction of concrete pump hose
concrete pump hose construction
The concrete pumping hose adopts a three-layer composite structure design:
Inner rubber layer
High wear-resistant synthetic rubber, directly in contact with concrete to ensure wear resistance.
Reinforcement layer
Braided with high-strength steel wire or cord to improve the hose’s explosion resistance and durability. 1″-3″ is textile reinforcement material, 3 inches to 5 inches is steel wire reinforcement
Outer rubber layer
Covered with high wear-resistant synthetic rubber, protecting the inner layer and extending the service life, while also being weather-resistant.
High and low temperature resistance
It can be used in both winter and summer, and has strong tolerance for outdoor environments. It can work in high and low temperature environments at -35°C to 82°C(-31℉-180℉).

How to Choose the Right concrete pump Hose
To choose the right concrete pump hose, you need to consider the following issues:
Choose the wear resistance level according to the construction environment
Choose the appropriate length according to the concrete pumping distance
Choose the appropriate inner diameter according to the medium being transported and the pumping volume
Choose the interface size and type according to the pump model
Whether special requirements such as torsion-resistant design and double-layer structure are required
Whether it is used for dry mix/wet mix or concrete with large aggregates

How to clean concrete pump hose?
There are two ways to clean the concrete pump hose: positive and negative pump cleaning method, water flushing valve and cleaning ball cleaning method.
- Positive and negative pump pipe cleaning method
After completing the pouring task, timely reverse pump several times to release the pressure in the pipeline, and then alternately perform positive and reverse pump operations, and repeat several cycles. Use the concrete pump’s own function to clean the pipeline, no additional tools are required, the operation is simple and the effect is significant.
- Water flushing method
Connect the pipeline to the water source and flush the concrete in the pipeline by pumping water. Adequate water source and appropriate drainage facilities are required, and attention should be paid to the treatment of flushing water to avoid environmental pollution.
- Cleaning ball method
Use a cleaning ball with the same size as the inner diameter of the hose, put it into the pipeline inlet, start pumping to make the cleaning ball reciprocate in the pipeline, and remove the concrete attached to the inner wall of the pipeline. This method has the best cleaning effect, but requires a special cleaning ball and appropriate operating skills.
