Whether in high-temperature hot oil loading and unloading areas or in extremely cold chemical sites at tens of degrees below zero, ambient temperature directly affects the reliability and service life of hoses. Ordinary hoses are prone to softening and delamination at high temperatures, and hardening and cracking at low temperatures. Strongflex’s high-temperature and cryogenic composite hoses are designed to meet these challenges, providing a safer and longer-lasting solution for your chemical and fuel transfers through a multi-layered composite structure and specialized temperature-resistant materials.

Cryogenic Composite Hose
High Temperature and Cryogenic Composite Hoses: Usage Precautions and Maintenance Guidelines
Before use, carefully inspect the composite hose and connectors for integrity, ensuring there are no bulges, damage, scratches, or cracks. Check the spiral wires and connectors for rust, looseness, or breakage.
When installing the hose, avoid twisting to prevent misalignment or breakage of the multi-layer film. Avoid excessive bending. When transporting fuels or flammable chemicals, grounding is essential, and the spiral wires must be connected to the system ground.
During use, do not exceed the hose’s rated temperature and pressure. For high or low temperature environments, select the appropriate high-temperature or low-temperature composite hose. If working in corrosive or humid environments, stainless steel should be used for the spiral wires and connectors whenever possible.
When moving the hose, do not drag it on rough surfaces to prevent abrasion of the outer layer. Avoid flattening the hose when transporting heavy chemicals.
Store the cryogenic composite hose in a cool, dry place between -15°C and 40°C, avoiding direct sunlight. If the hose has been stored in extremely cold environments, place it in a warmer environment for half an hour before use to allow the material to regain its flexibility.
After operation in low-temperature environments, drain the fluid promptly to prevent freezing and expansion leading to cracking. If working in low-temperature environments for extended periods, consider adding an insulation sleeve or fabric protective cover.
