The reinforcement layer comprises a braided cord or spiral steel wire , providing high tensile strength, flex resistance, and pressure resistance.
The outer layer is typically made of a wear-resistant rubber material such as natural rubber or synthetic rubber (such as EPDM and NR), although high-strength plastics such as polyurethane are sometimes used. This provides protection against abrasion, aging, and UV rays, extending service life.
Floating dredging hoses may also include a buoyancy filler layer (such as PEF foam).
Dredging hose connectors are typically made of corrosion-resistant metal materials such as aluminum alloy, stainless steel, and carbon steel, enabling quick, seamless, and heavy-duty connections.
A protective hose cover further enhances the hose’s resistance to external impact, friction, and abrasion, making it suitable for high-risk operating environments.
