DIN EN 857 2SC – Compact Two-Wire Braid Hydraulic Hose
EN 857 2SC is a two layers steel wire braided hydraulic hose, mainly used in high-pressure hydraulic systems. The structure of EN 857 2sc hydraulic hose is similar to SAE100R2/EN 853 2SN, but it is more compact than R2/ 2SN hose, and more suitable for installation in narrow spaces, but not suitable for applications that require disassembly. Thinner in outer diameter than 2SN and more environmentally friendly, Suitable for conveying fluids such as ethylene glycol, mineral oil, fuel, lubricant, emulsion, hydrocarbons, etc. Can work in an environment of C to +100°C (-40°F to +212°F)
At StrongFlex, we manufacture and supply premium EN 857 2SC hoses that meet international standards, ensuring long service life, safety, and efficiency in every system.

DIN EN 857 2SC Hydraulic Hose Key Features & Advantages
High Pressure Resistance: Utilizing a double-layer high-strength steel wire braid reinforcement, it can withstand operating pressures up to 5800 PSI (approximately 400 bar) and is suitable for medium- and high-pressure hydraulic systems.
Excellent Wear and Weather Resistance: The outer rubber is made of oil-, wear-, and weather-resistant synthetic rubber, offering stable operation in temperatures ranging from -40°C to 100°C, making it suitable for use in harsh environments.
Excellent Flexibility: The compact design and small bend radius facilitate installation in confined spaces and are compatible with a variety of hydraulic connections.
Wide Applicable Media: Suitable for transporting petroleum-based hydraulic oils, synthetic greases, biodegradable fluids, water-glycol-based fluids, and air.
Adaptable to high-pulse and high-vibration environments: The hose complies with EN857 2SC standards for a long pulse life.
DIN EN 857 2SC Hydraulic Hose Application:
Suitable for mineral and bio-based oils, water-glycol fluids, water, and lubricants. Frequently used as high-pressure, return, and suction lines in industrial applications where space is limited. Highly versatile, with applications spanning the automotive, agricultural, industrial, railway, refrigeration, and aerospace sectors.

Strongflex Hydraulic Hose EN857 2SC
We mainly produce Hydraulic Hose with Germany technology High speed braiding machine, no steel connection, no defective point. The machines braiding provide perfect working, to assure quality inside of hydraulic hoses. Meets or exceeds the performance requirements of: SAE 100R1AT, R1S, EN 853 1SN
Raw materials:
The rubber materials of EN 857 2SC hydraulic hoses are imported from top suppliers in the international market (such as Sinopec), raw materials with high rubber content, and high-strength steel wire is purchased from domestic listed companies (such as Xingda Steel Tire Cord Co., Ltd).
High-quality materials provide our hydraulic hoses with stable performance, good strength and excellent oil resistance.

We will conduct a series of tests on the purchased materials, including rubber hardness test, steel wire tension test, etc. Unsuitable materials will not be put into production. Only qualified materials will be used to manufacture hoses.

Factory workshop:
Our factory introduces advanced technology and equipment to produce the best quality hydraulic hoses. High speed Spiral machine is used to produce steel wire spiral hydraulic hoses, which has the characteristics of high precision and high speed. The hoses produced can withstand 400,000 pulses.

Quality control:
We use two quality control systems, online and offline. Online, there is Enterprise Resource Planning that records the production process, operators, and operation dates, and offline, there is a manually filled hydraulic hose ID card. The quality tracking card is specially used to record the key parameters of the manufacturing process.

FAQS about EN 857 2SC Hydraulic Hose
What is the pressure rating for a 2SC hose?
The inner diameter size of DIN EN 857 2SC hydraulic hose ranges from 1/4″ to 1″. The working pressure is 2300PSi ~ 5800PSI, which is a medium pressure hydraulic hose. The larger the inner diameter, the smaller the pressure it can withstand. The bursting pressure is four times the working pressure, and it has a higher safety factor.
What is the most common hydraulic hose?
The most common hydraulic hoses are wire-braid reinforced hoses featuring one or two layers of high-strength wire braiding, such as 857 1SC/21SC and EN853 1SN/2SN. Wire-braided hydraulic hoses are used across a wide range of sectors, including industrial manufacturing, agriculture, automotive, transportation, mining, construction machinery, and the oil and gas industry.
