What are food-grade hoses used for?
Food-grade hoses are pipes specifically designed for the safe transport of consumer products without contamination. They can transport liquids, solids, powders, and other substances, and are widely used in the food industry.

Food grade hose applications
Food processing industry: Transporting beverages, dairy products and milk, jams, and other foods during packaging or sterilization processes.
Pharmaceutical and medical industry: For the aseptic transport of liquid pharmaceuticals or drugs.
Water purification and distribution: Used in automatic water vending machines, filtration systems, and drinking water delivery applications.
Meat and poultry processing: Used for transporting edible byproducts such as fats and oils. Some are designed to handle materials containing fine particles.
Baking: Transporting liquid ingredients such as corn syrup, vegetable oils, and liquid sugars.
Why choose strongflex food grade hose
Strongflex food and beverage industrial hoses comply with food and beverage, pharmaceutical and other industry regulations, production raw materials meet FDA standards, strict quality safety and sanitation standards are guaranteed during the production process, and each food-grade hose meets FDA requirements. After production, it will be tested again to ensure that every tube sent out is of quality assurance. Our food garde hoses are esigned for food operations.
The food grade hose has a three-layer structure. The inner tube of food grade hose is smooth white food-grade EPDM rubber; the reinforcement layer is usually high-strength synthetic fiber, the the outer rubber is resistant to aging and wear, which will give the hose good wear resistance.
Our food-grade hoses have good chemical resistance, which prevents food and beverages from adverse reactions and harmful substances during transportation. This further ensures food safety.
In addition, due to the high-quality raw materials, the produced hoses are tasteless and odorless, and the taste of food and beverages passing through the hoses will not be disturbed, allowing your customers to drink with confidence.
We can also supply food-garde hose couplings, hydraulic crimping ensures our hoses will never leak.

What is the difference between a food-grade hose and a normal hose?
Food garde hoses must meet a number of standards. One of the most common is that they must be FDA-approved. The FDA sets a standard that the materials incorporated into the hose (e.g. plasticisers) must meet.
How to Choose the Right Food Grade Hose
For food grade hoses, safety is the top priority. The raw materials and production must meet the corresponding safety standards, materials must meet food safety standards, such as food-grade silicone, rubber or plastic. These materials will not release harmful substances and are compatible with all types of food and beverages. Food hoses need to meet relevant food safety certification specifications, such as China’s new national standard GB4806, the United States FDA, Germany’s BFR, etc.
Wide temperature resistance, Food hoses need to be able to withstand a wide range of temperatures, that may be encountered during food processing, from low-temperature material transportation to high-temperature sterilization.
Food hoses should have good chemical resistance and be able to withstand the erosion of various disinfectants.
Food hoses should have good flexibility to facilitate installation and operation in complex filling equipment and piping systems.
How to Clean Food Hoses?
To ensure food hygiene, it is recommended to clean food hoses regularly, after each use or monthly.
The first step in cleaning is to disconnect the hose, close all valves, and disassemble the hose. If using quick-connect fittings, these can also be removed.
There are two different cleaning methods for hoses: using water or chemical cleaning agents.
To clean the hose, rinse it thoroughly with clean water to remove any residue. A water flow with sufficient pressure is best for removing residue more effectively.
To use a chemical cleaning solution, soak the hose in the cleaning solution. After soaking, pour out the solution and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
After cleaning, it is recommended to hang the hose vertically to air dry completely. Only store or reinstall it after it is completely dry.
