What is the Hose Testing Bench?
Hose testing bench is also called hose testing machine, a hose testing machine is a specialized testing device used to verify the pressure performance of flexible piping components (mainly hydraulic hoses, industrial hoses, and hose assemblies).
This equipment uses a pressurized fluid medium (usually hydraulic oil or water-based emulsion) to perform the following two core tests on the tested component according to relevant international/national standards (such as ISO 1402, SAE J517, etc.):
1. Static Pressure and Burst Test
Principle: A static pressure generator applies a continuously increasing liquid pressure to the inside of the hose until the specimen ruptures or reaches a predetermined pressure threshold. It can display pressure-time curves and failure modes, detecting the maximum pressure limit value (burst pressure).
2. Pulse Fatigue Test
Principle: Under specified pressure amplitude, frequency, and waveform (such as sine wave, trapezoidal wave), alternating pressure is circulated inside the hose to simulate pressure shocks in actual working conditions. The fatigue life and sealing performance of the hose under low cyclic load are measured.

What does burst pressure mean?
Normal working pressure: This is the pressure the hose should withstand (the upper limit for safe use).
Hydraulic hose burst pressure: This is the maximum pressure the hose can withstand (the physical limit; exceeding this limit will cause it to burst).
Typically, a qualified hose will have a burst pressure much higher than its normal operating pressure. Hydraulic hoses are usually 4:1 (for example, if the working pressure is 10 MPa, the burst pressure may be as high as 40 MPa), while industrial hoses are generally 3:1. This difference is to prevent immediate danger in case of accidental overpressure.
