At present, our rubber fuel hose is mainly made of polynitrile rubber (NBR) material. NBR rubber has excellent oil resistance, heat resistance and wear resistance and is not easy to age. In addition, NBR rubber also has good sealing performance and elasticity, can adapt to different temperature and pressure conditions.
Depending on the use and strength requirements, the hose is reinforced with several layers of synthetic fabric, which enhance the durability and strength of the hose, ensuring safe fuel transfer.
SAE J30 is a standard set by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) to classify fuel and oil hoses based on pressure ratings, fuel compatibility, and construction.
SAE J30 R6: Designed for low-pressure fuel lines, typically found in carburetor systems. It offers good resistance to fuel and oil.
SAE J30 R7: An upgraded version with higher fuel resistance, especially suitable for ethanol-blended fuels and more demanding automotive systems.
Our SAE J30 R6/R7 fuel hose can withstand temperatures from -40°C (-40°F) to +82°C (179℉) and is suitable for working conditions in various types of mechanical equipment. The hose is rated for 300 PSI/20 Bar with a safety factor of 3 times, ensuring stable performance and service life.
Strongflex rubber fuel line hose is available in inner diameters from 3/16″ to 1″, with wall thicknesses from 3mm to 5.3mm, hot-selling products are 3/8 high pressure fuel hose and 1/4 rubber fuel hose. It is high quality and can provide a reliable fuel delivery solution.

Rubber fuel hoses are essential in automobiles, industrial machinery and ship transportation, connecting the fuel system to ensure power transmission and keep the engine running normally. Rubber fuel hose has the advantages of good sealing performance, high temperature resistance, oil resistance, and wear resistance, so it is widely used in the automotive field.
Production process of rubber fuel hose
The production of rubber fuel hose begins with the selection of suitable raw materials. We select oil-resistant and wear-resistant nitrile rubber, mix the rubber raw materials to achieve higher performance requirements and improve the durability of the hose, prepare high-strength fiber wire as a reinforcement layer, extrude the inner rubber, braid the fiber wire reinforcement layer, extrude the outer rubber, and complete the production.

The completion of production does not mean the end. We will test the appearance, length, pressure and other aspects of the rubber fuel hose. The qualified hoses will be cut and packaged according to the customer’s requirements. The packaging is usually moisture-proof and pressure-proof to ensure that the product is not damaged during transportation and storage. Finally, the packaged rubber fuel hoses are shipped. We always focus on customers and ensure that each batch of products meets the specific requirements of customers.

FAQS about rubber fuel hose SAE J30
What is the SAE J30 R6?
J30 R6 hose is a fuel delivery pipe for automobiles and construction machinery, which meets the SAE J30 R6 standard. This pipe is usually used to transport fuels such as gasoline and diesel. It has high pressure resistance and good oil resistance. J30 R6 hose is widely used in the fuel systems of automobiles, internal combustion engines, construction machinery and other equipment.
What is a SAE J30 hose?
SAE J30 hose is a flexible connecting hose used between the engine and the fuel delivery system, and is also suitable for the control of the steam emission system. Its inner rubber is black smooth rubber, suitable for petroleum products with 50% aromatic content and unleaded gasoline. The outer rubber is also black smooth rubber, which is resistant to lubricants, oils, high temperatures and aging. The reinforcement layer is made of high-strength synthetic fiber.
What material is the SAE J30R7?
Our SAE J30 R7 fuel hose has a three-layer structure, all of which are made of high-strength and high-quality materials. The inner rubber layer is made of oil-resistant nitrile rubber and high-strength polyester fiber woven into a reinforcement layer to improve the strength and pressure resistance of the hose. The outer cover is made of smooth or cloth-textured black NBR and environment resistant synthetic rubber.
What material is SAE J30 R6 made of?
SAE J30 R6 hose has a three-layer structure; the inner and outer layers are made of oil-resistant synthetic rubber, and the middle reinforcement layer is woven with high-strength synthetic yarn.
What is the difference between R6 and R9 fuel hoses?
There are two main fuel hoses on the market, which are also available from our company. One is a fuel pipe that meets the SAE J30 R6/ R7 standards, and the other is a fuel pipe that meets the SAE J30 R9 standard. The rubbers used in the two are different, one is NBR and the other is FKM. Fluororubber has excellent high temperature resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and oil resistance, and nitrile rubber has excellent oil resistance and wear resistance. Both are suitable for oil delivery pipes in automotive fuel systems.
If you want high temperature and low temperature resistant pipes, fuel injection hose SAE J30 R9 is more suitable. SAE J30 R9 hose has better high temperature and low temperature resistance and chemical corrosion resistance than SAE J30 R6 hose, and is more suitable for fuel delivery containing high concentrations of ethanol.
How to cut a rubber fuel hose?
Rubber fuel hose cutting is relatively simple, first because its size is not very large, the maximum size is 1 inch, and second because its reinforcement layer is mainly cord, not wire winding or braiding. To cut a perfectly flat cross section, you only need a hacksaw, cut off wheel, or knife. A more convenient method is to use a hose cutting machine. But maybe you don’t need a giant machine for just one cut, but it has to be said that it is the fastest and most labor-saving.
So how do we use a hacksaw or a simple knife? The method is also very simple. First, you need to measure the length you want and mark the place where you need to cut, draw a line or apply tape. Another effective and direct method is to use a clamp, install it directly at the position you need to cut and tighten it, which can prevent the change of the cutting position. As long as you cut close to the edge, rotate hose slowly close to the mark to cut, you can get a neat cross section.
