Fire Sleeve – Heat Resistant Hose Sleeve
Fire-resistant sleeves, also known as high-temperature resistant sleeves or silicone rubber fiberglass sleeves. Fire hose sleeve is the perfect cover to protect hydraulic hoses, oil lines and wiring bundles. They can be used continuously in a temperature range of -40°C to 560°C while maintaining their soft and elastic properties, and will withstand a molten splash at 1650℃.
Our silicone fire sleeves are made of braided fiberglass in a flecible substrate. Then coated with a high quality silicone rubber through a vulcanization process. It’s resistant to hydraulic fluids, lubricants and fuels. The fire sleeve is designed to protect hoses, wires and cables from the hazards of high heat and occasional flame.
Silicone Fire Sleeve Construction
Silicone fire-resistant and high-temperature resistant tubing sleeve is primarily made of fiberglass braid covered with high-temperature vulcanized silicone.
The fiberglass provides high-strength support, high temperature resistance, and aging resistance. The silicone coating is used for fire resistance, heat insulation, drip protection, and oil resistance. The outermost colored silicone layer is commonly red or blue for easy safety identification.
The installation method can be either by simply slipping it on or by using Velcro fasteners on one side.
Hose Fire Sleeve Terperature
-40°C to +560°C(instantaneous temperature)The destructive test at 1650 °C can last for half hour. After half hour, the silicone layer begins to carbonize and the glass fiber remains intact.

The main functions of fire protection sleeves
- To prevent flame jetting and spreading
- To isolate high-temperature heat sources
- To prevent hydraulic oil from igniting in case of fire
- To improve overall system safety
- To prevent the spread of toxic fumes
- To provide physical protection such as abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, oil resistance, and water resistance.
Fire Sleeve Application
Fire-resistant hose protection sleeves are widely used in construction, mining, oil and gas, industrial manufacturing, energy and power, and cable protection fields. They are primarily used in high-temperature, high-pressure, flammable, and high-risk working conditions to effectively prevent fire accidents caused by hydraulic oil or fuel spray.
1. Construction Industry
This is the most widely used and demanding field, commonly used in smoke exhaust systems, fire protection systems, and gas pipelines.
2. Industrial and Manufacturing
Mainly protects production equipment and prevents fire spread. Commonly found in high-temperature equipment areas, such as near boilers and furnaces, chemical and fuel systems, wrapping fuel lines, lubrication oil lines, or chemical agent pipes to prevent explosions caused by leaks and ignition sources. Also used in welding and cutting areas to protect oxygen and acetylene hoses from being burned through by sparks.
3. Energy and Power Industry
Ensures the safety of energy transmission and the continuity of power supply, for example, protecting turbines in power plants, and the dense control cables, instrument pipelines, and oil pipelines in boiler rooms.
4. Mining Equipment
Used in hydraulic support systems to protect hydraulic hoses from hydraulic oil spray, and in dusty, confined underground mines to prevent hose failure due to friction or high temperatures.
5. Cable and Wire Harness Fire Protection
Wraps cable bundles near high-temperature equipment to prevent external flames from directly burning the cable insulation, providing an additional fire barrier and improving system operational stability.
