Thermoplastic hydraulic hose provides superior abrasion resistance
Thermoplastic hydraulic hoses such as SAE 100 R7 and R8 can withstand extreme temperatures and corrosive chemicals and harsh environments, and built for medium-to-high pressure fluid conveyance in construction, agriculture, and industrial machinery.
Our thermoplastic hoses have a three-layer structure, oil-resistant nylon (PA) or thermoplastic inner tube, one or more layers of textile or steel wire braid reinforcement, and a flexible and durable nylon or thermoplastic outer cover. Thermoplastic hydraulic hoses offer excellent abrasion resistance and flexibility, and are resistant to a wide range of chemicals.
Our thermoplastic pipes meet and exceed the international standard of SAEJ517 and are suitable for medium and high pressure hydraulic systems. We can also produce double or non-conductive thermoplastic hoses according to requirements.

Thermoplastic hoses offer many advantages
Extremely Lightweight
Thermoplastic hoses have a density significantly lower than rubber and are typically only 30%-50% lighter than comparable rubber hoses.
Small Bend Radius, Extremely Flexible
They offer excellent flexibility and memory, making them easy to bend and kink-resistant, with a minimum bend radius significantly smaller than comparable rubber hoses.
Excellent Chemical Resistance
Thermoplastic materials (such as TPU and nylon) offer excellent resistance to most hydraulic fluids, fuels, lubricants, and many chemicals and solvents. Standard inner tubes also generally exhibit reduced permeability.
Smooth Interior Wall, Low Resistance
The inner tube is extruded, resulting in a very smooth surface. Long service life and excellent fatigue resistance, making it resistant to frequent impacts.
Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hose Varieties Available
Our thermoplastic hydraulic hoses are available in a variety of sizes, ranging from 1/8 inch to 1 inch, depending on the grade. They have a working pressure of up to 5133 PSI, depending on the grade and diameter. The operating temperature range for all grades and sizes is -40°C to +100°C.
In addition to thermoplastic hydraulic hoses, we also provide hydraulic accessories, quick crimps, etc., a one-stop supply of hydraulic systems.

Thermoplastic Hose and Couplings
Thermoplastic Hydraulic Hoses Main Application Areas
Thermoplastic hydraulic hoses are characterized by high pressure resistance, pulse resistance, light weight, and easy installation. Their core applications are concentrated in industrial scenarios requiring high reliability, safety, and cleanliness.
Industrial Hydraulic Systems: This is the most core application of thermoplastic hydraulic hoses. They are widely used in the hydraulic systems of construction machinery, mining equipment, injection molding machinery, metallurgical forging, lifting, and transportation equipment to transmit hydraulic oil. Their excellent resistance to pressure pulses effectively copes with frequent pressure fluctuations in hydraulic systems, ensuring stable system operation.
Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Vehicle Refueling: Benefiting from their superior resistance to high pressure variations and certifications such as NGV and ECE R110, thermoplastic hoses (especially those made of nylon and polyethylene) perform exceptionally well in CNG vehicle refueling stations, serving as a key component for the safe delivery of high-pressure natural gas.
High-Pressure Cleaning and Special Equipment: In the field of high-pressure cleaning, thermoplastic hoses (such as some PU hoses or ultra-high-pressure resin hoses) are used to connect high-pressure pumps and cleaning guns due to their high wear resistance and pressure resistance. In addition, they are also used in high-pressure fluid conveying systems in industries such as petroleum, chemical, and mining.
Pneumatic and Ventilation Systems: Thermoplastic hoses are also suitable for compressed air conveying, pneumatic devices, and ventilation systems for conveying gases or dusty materials. Their smooth inner walls help reduce flow resistance and prevent material stagnation.
Strongflex Hose Factory- thermoplastic hydraulic hoses Manufacturer
Strongflex thermoplastic hydraulic hoses are manufactured to exceeding quality standards. They feature a three-layer construction: a nylon inner tube, a braided synthetic fiber or steel wire reinforcement, and a flexible, durable nylon or thermoplastic outer layer.

Thermoplastic hose production
What is a thermoplastic hydraulic hose?
Thermoplastic hydraulic hose is a high-pressure hose made of thermoplastic materials (such as nylon, polyurethane, etc.) and reinforced with fiber or steel wire. It is specially used for the transmission of hydraulic fluids. It has the characteristics of light weight, pressure resistance, corrosion resistance, and easy installation. It is widely used in construction machinery, agricultural equipment and industrial systems.
What is the difference between thermoplastic and rubber hose?
Rubber hoses are more resistant to high temperatures and have better flexibility, while thermoplastic hoses are lighter, more chemically resistant, and suitable for high pressure and compact installation environments.
What is the life of a thermoplastic hose?
Thermoplastic hydraulic pipes typically have a lifespan of 5 to 7 years, but actual service life depends on actual conditions.
What is a thermoplastic hose used for?
A thermoplastic hose is used for fluid or gas transfer in various industrial, automotive, and hydraulic applications, pneumatic equipment, chemical transportation, and are favored for their lightness, pressure resistance and corrosion resistance.
Can thermoplastic hoses be used in high temperature environments?
Thermoplastic tubing has a wide temperature range, typically -40 °C to +100 °C (-40 °F to +212 °F) intermittent 110°C.
What is the standard for thermoplastic hose?
The standard for thermoplastic hydraulic hoses is usually
SAEJ517 (such as SAE 100R7 and SAE 100R8 hoses),
ISO 3949 (international standard, widely used in various thermoplastic hose products.)
EN 855 (corresponding to SAE R7 and R8, the requirements are more stringent, especially in terms of temperature and pressure resistance)
MSHA certification (If the hose is used in mining and underground environments, it needs to have flame retardant properties.)
